Whilst I'm waiting on my Cocoa Vanilla Studio design team pack to arrive I decided to have a play with some other bits lying around my scrap room. This first layout started out completely different. Although one main part remained the same- I was determined to do a patterned paper dominated background since I realised almost all of my recent layouts have been based on white cardstock! I had laid everything out then cut the photo and realised it didn't suit the original layout, disaster! But I started from scratch, and although I wasn't quite convinced it was going to work, right at the last minute it seemed to all fall into place.
This second one was just a quick and easy layout with one of my favourite photos:

Hi All,
I am so incredibly excited to announce I have been selected as a member of the very first Design Team for fantastic new Aussie manufactuer Cocoa Vanilla Studio. Whilst I have been lucky enough to be on design teams in the past this is my first ever manufacturer team so I am honoured to be joining such a wonderfully talented bunch of ladies. I am absolutely loving Zoe's designs and cannot wait to get started with them; aren't her first two collections below just fabulous?!

You may have already seen these collections in your favourite online store (or if you're in a similar region to me you may have seen it at Make A Page in Kilmore, Vic!), but if not you can purchase directly through www.cocoavanilla.com.au.
You can check out the other wonderful ladies using the blog links below:
We can't wait to start sharing all the wonderful Cocoa Vanilla Studio products with you xx

I love doing little projects for around my home. Hubby often leaves his ugly box of epsom salts lying around the bathroom so I decided it was time to make a prettier storage solution. I had a few spare minutes today and two spare little jars lying around so quickly sat down to pretty them up. One is of course housing the epsom salts and the other is holding cotton buds (another neccessity according to hubby); it makes my heart happy to see something prettier sitting in our main bathroom.

2014 resulted in my second entry into the Scrapbooking Memories Masters competition. Whilst winning is a dream for I'm sure many of us scrappers, the fact that I got an honourable mention was the best consollation prize! I was incredibly excited to see my layout whilst flicking through the magazine. To the other ladies who recieved honourable mentions, and especially to the Masters themselves, a huge congratulations. So many talented ladies in the scrapbook world.

Whilst looking for something in my craft room tonight I came accross this layout that was published last year in Scrapbooking Memories. I *think* it's probably my favourite layout from last year so thought I should share!

If you're anything like me you tend to scrap the better photos, even though you have stacks of not-so-good phone photos that really capture the memories. The best photos, the ones on my DSLR, make for the best scrapbook pages. BUT scrapping is all about memory keeping, so this year it's my mission to scrap the most imporant moments, whether they be great photos or terrible ones.
I got started with two memories I was yet to scrap for lack of good photos: the first of New Years Eve on our cruise and the second of our first night in our very own home.

My grandparents are awesome, I can't even tell you. I'm very lucky to be 28 with both maternal grandparents still in my life, so I wanted to dedicate a page to them. I kept it simple, I really wanted the photo to be the focus.
Hope everyone's 2015 is off to a fantastic start.

Am I the only one who cannot believe it is now 2015?! The older I get the more time seems to fly.
I spent most of the day scrapping today, here are two layouts to share for now. The first is with a lot of the Maggie Holmes Open Book collection embellishments, it's possibly my favourite collection ever. I just adore the flowers and frames. I'm actually considering stocking up on the flowers!
And the second is with a background cut from my Silhoutte, I'm so in love! With the machine that is, not my own scrapbook work ;)
Both are photos from our first cruise at the end of 2013, going into Jan 2014. I absolutely adore holidays and travelling, I love to go back and scrap them. Particularly when I have no immediate plans for another one.
